Plastic pollution is a significant environmental challenge of our time, with millions of tons of waste threatening ecosystems, wildlife, and human health. Addressing this crisis requires a shared commitment — governments, businesses, and individuals must all do their part.

The manufacturing sector contributes heavily to global waste, but forward-looking companies are rethinking their processes. At Bonomi Industries, we’re committed to minimizing our environmental impact through smart innovation and sustainable practices—without compromising the quality of our valves and actuators

Path to Plastic Waste Reduction: Packaging Initiatives at Bonomi IndustriesPaper labels to display inspected quality

Packaging is one of the most immediate opportunities for reducing plastic waste. At Bonomi Industries, we’ve made real progress in this area. We introduced easy-opening boxes that eliminate the need for adhesive tape and staples. Similarly, plastic dividers in the boxes have been replaced with recyclable cardboard, making disposal easier for our customers and reducing our material usage overall.

In March 2025, we took it a step further by eliminating the plastic tape used to mark boxes that had passed final quality control. In its place, we implemented a heat-sealing system that uses paper tape for sealing and paper labels to display inspector serial numbers. This solution preserves full traceability while removing unnecessary plastic from the process.

Our Actions for “Zero-Plastic” Target

Our efforts to eliminate plastic don’t stop at packaging—they’re part of Bonomi Industries’ broader strategy aimed at phasing out single-use plastics wherever possible.

  • Plastic-free corporate cafeteria: Since 2024, disposable containers have been replaced with reusable dishware, and meals are now prepared on-site to minimize waste.

  • Water dispenser in company facilities: This initiative encourages the use of refillable water bottles and has significantly reduced disposable plastic consumption.

  • Tracking our progress: Between 2022 and 2023, the amount of plastic packaging used decreased by 40%—from 12,137 kg to 7,303 kg—as reported in our voluntary sustainability report

Looking Forward: Innovation for Sustainable Progress

We continue to invest in research and technology to meet evolving environmental standards while delivering high performance, long-lasting ball valves and actuators. But we know sustainability is not a destination, it’s a process that demands vision, discipline, and continuous innovation. At Bonomi Industries, we’re proud to be among valve manufacturers committed to sustainability, and a trusted global partner delivering reliable fluid control solutions that help reduce environmental impact.
